Washington, D.C. is the East Coast city that I know best after Boston, due to my sister Sara. She attended George Washington University while I was in high school, and so a few weekends every year my mom and I would take a road trip down from Pennsylvania to visit her and walk around. It is possible that I've visited NYC as many or more times than I've been in DC, but I feel more comfortable in DC. I love the uniqueness of it - that it is different from any other American city. This is just a sampling of the pictures I took on those weekend trips, before I went to college myself and wasn't able to go on so many.
