The next few photos are from Revere Beach, the first public beach in America. Just north of downtown, it's the easiest beach to get to when you live in the city - there's a subway stop right behind the beach - but the beach and the town of Revere are notorious for not being the nicest or cleanest areas of the city. Yet I still liked going there; there was something so fiercely local and hence interesting about the place, if that makes sense. These were all taken and printed during the color photo class I took that summer. |
