Fast forward a year to the next summer, in 2005, when my brother Jeff visited town. With his car, we had more mobility to actually explore Cape Ann more (previously, I just had my feet) and the best stop was right outside the main town of Rockport, at Halibut Point State Park. It's an old rock quarry, and a pleasant walk down to a big rocky ocean shore.
