rockport, massachusetts

Rockport is a little town north of Boston on Cape Ann, which is basically like Cape Cod but smaller and less known and less crowded with tourists. It is pretty much a lovely place, and easily accessible from Boston via the commuter rail, and it was one of the very first forays I took on that great train system. Maybe because of that, or maybe because I was in a kind of angsty/emotional point of my life when I first fell in love with it, or maybe just because it's so cute, I am still in love with Rockport more than all the other similar cutesy Massachusetts towns I would visit over the years. This gallery includes photos from three different trips: Most of them from the first one, in 2004, then there are a few from the summers of both 2005 and 2007. The pictures from these last two times are mainly from an awesome little state park, Halibut Point, right outside of town. The black & white photos are printed on 8x10 Ilford RC paper.
