Our friend Cliff, Kim's boyfriend, took us hiking one day to the top of Spencer's Butte in Eugene. It was a pretty enjoyably moderate trek until the top, which involved us climbing up some boulders to reach the summit, which was a little more intense than any hiking I had done previously. The view was well worth it, and I look forward to honing my hiking skills the longer I'm in Oregon.
