This gallery is from my spring 2007 visit to the Pacific Northwest, when our friend Zoe
drove Kathy and I out of Portland, just over the border into Washington, and then along
the Columbia River until we came back to Oregon to hit the town of Astoria. From there,
we headed about a quarter of the way down the coastline until we headed back inland to
reach our friend Kim in Eugene.
Being as it was the spring, and it was the Pacific Northwest, it rained a lot, and so
a lot of these pictures have a gray or rainy atmosphere, but it's an atmosphere I find
strangely peaceful and lovely.
As I take more pictures from both the Columbia River Gorge and the Oregon coast, two
distinct and beautiful places, I will definitely be splitting these pictures into two
respective galleries. Maybe this will even happen soon, if I get to do more Oregon
traveling! One can hope.
