the mid-coast, oregon

This gallery consists of pictures from what I am loosely considering to be the middle of Oregon's coast, from around Pacific City (which could probably still be considered pretty northern, but in my head it's part of this same general area) south to Florence. This stretch of land, like most of the Oregon coast, consists of a whole bunch of spectacular state parks, as well as tourist highlights like the Sea Lion Caves, the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. I love this whole area, but if I had to pick my favorite place on the coast in general, I'd have to say there is something quiet and peaceful about Cape Kiwanda and Pacific City--and the Pelican Brewpub which sits right on the beach--which I am pretty darn fond of.
