After my brother showed me the sights in San Diego, we headed out on another road trip, this one to Yosemite. Although not as ambitious as our cross-country road trip of the year before, I feel we saw almost as many diverse landscapes in this one state as we saw across the entire nation. It is quite something. After we got past the monstrosity that is LA, we reached the first really striking California landscape: the desert.
