I love Seattle the way one loves a big sister. I am content and at home in Portland, but having Seattle
there, three hours away via I-5 or Amtrak is simply awesome and we make the trek as frequently as we
can. These photos are from our first trips in 2007 & 2008. They inevitably start where all tourists
start: Pike Place Market, but for good reason. Other than having the location of the first Starbucks,
it is a genuinely neat place and a photo-opportunity-bonanza. The pictures then move to the equally
tourist-frequented Seattle Center, then meander to the Olympic Sculpture Park on the waterfront, and
then up to Capitol Hill, where hipsters, strong coffee, and thrift shops abound.
